After watching the Mille antics from a safe social media position of my lounge chair, it was time to make tracks to the place that cannot been spelt but nonetheless easily spoken after a few beers.
On arrival the weather was humid but dry and promised a great weekend, there were a few weirdos and zombies mooching around the petrol stations and bottle shops, but there was nice smell of 2 stroke on the breeze. After a quick spin of this surfside town and a further reccy of town essentials coffee shop, bacon rolls purveyor, takeaway shop, surf club, I was set and ready to test out the LCOA Bottle opener.
The arrival evening was a relatively quiet affair with at the really nice Dockside venue, where we greeted by the smiling faces of the Sunny Coasters SC, their rally packs and for a lot of us fellas a bonus free membership to the SCSC Beauty Salon where they gently but lovingly provided hair waxing sessions whilst they sorted out our wrist bands.

Day 1 - Up in them hills and more
Morning one we grouped and again met the fluro fashion conscious SCSC team.
On my little wander around there was notably a nice spread of interstate plates and a nice showing of Lammys of all series.
Along with other classics, my guess is there was 50 eager faces arrived for the first ride out, which took us up into the hills for a scenic journey with a stop at the lookout that showed off the stunning Noosa hinterland in great style. Great twisty roads, very few breakdowns and no catastrophes on the road
The lunch stop was at Ricks Garage at Palmwoods a cool retro eatery, where we regrouped and teased the local Harley crew, who couldn’t believe what the two wheeled aliens had brought to town “Lammy Choppers”. The food, locals and the venue welcoming.
After a great ride out im sure for many it was time for quick nap and jump in the ocean, perhaps a spa or swim in the pool. In our apartment it was a splash of cheap aftershave and donning of Fred Perrys and dancing shoes before heading off to the evenings dinner again at Dockside, the DJ and Baggy Trousers
The band Baggy Trousers treated to us to some great Ska numbers supported by the DJs who also did a fantastic job spinning some juicy tracks, to firmly set the tone for weekend of laughter, hip wiggling and other shenanigan’s firmly
I wont show you photos, because I don’t have any, we all went home early to prepare out scoots for the next days show and shine!

Day 2 Blursday for some
You know how it goes.. “Lets take it easy” they said. “A few quiet drinks and early to bed”. “Saturdays the big day, where the best scoots and most people show up. “
The morning briefing welcomed a bigger group for the ride out, perhaps some in less sparkly form than the previous day, but we were ready to roll again. I think 100+ scoots of all flavours, we definitely created stylish traffic. I cannot count at the best of times hence I wont be putting my hand up for treasurer.

It was sincerely cool to see so many Lammys out on the road, a real treat for us QLDers. It was great to also have so many committee members riding together, we spend time on calls but nice to meet in person and see the smiles of El Presidente Trev and his second in charge Stevio out on the road, along Chris, Sean and newbies Darryl and Rebecca.
One thing that’s stood out for sure on this ride was the number of WA plates. Paradise Lost SC and other Perth folks, hats off to ya for your efforts to get there.
After some pleasant surfside touring the coastal exploration was complete we returned to the main town, where we parked up for a late lunch and the show an shine There were no catastrophes out on the road that I heard of, great backup and support by SCSC. All states had a great showing of members.
Whilst mentioning clubs, I think I would be a miss if I didn’t say that although we were given permission to squash CANE TOADS on the road at the ride out briefing most of us were nice to them, even if riding a few Vespas, because they had very strong turnout as club and are celebrating their 25th year..
Congrats Toads..your shirts and scoots looked cool, KTF and keep scootering alive J I couldn’t find a pic of Queen B Laura on her Lammy, but I did find a picture of the elder statesman of the club, Purple Pete policing the Lambrettas the show n shine.

And now for my other random pictures, as I forgot to take so many... :-)
For the evening we headed to more dancing, drinking at Dockside and again were treated to some fantastic tunes from Baggy Trousers and the DJs.
Day 3 – Sunday I think
The next morning was subdued, the ride out smaller. A great ride out apparently .. don’t laugh, I followed a group got lost in a town Yandina, took a wrong turn at the lights but still found another group for breakfast. I hear the ride out was great and very enjoyable. Obi Obi range is supposed to be spectacular ..whoops. My coffee was great.
Overall the weekend very enjoyable ANSCR rally, a credit to Sunny Coast Scooter Club , great organising, I know many of us appreciate much of the time invested to create and host.
I'm looking forward to Mudgee.. Cheers Symsy ..ride safe.
