Embrace the Thrill and Community Spirit
In the heart of Mundaring, Western Australia, a thrilling and vibrant event took place that would captivate enthusiasts and spectators alike – the annual LCOA  Scooter Overnighter held by the WA Members.
This highly anticipated gathering promises a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and the celebration of scooter culture in all its forms. The north and south riders arranged to meet at the Kalamunda Hills at the local Hostelry.
With 33 scooters now present it was time to set on a wondrous ride through the Kalamunda Hills to Mt Helen along the winding, twisting scenery eventually arriving at the local tavern where the natives showed great interest in theses classic scooters.
Inspections and stories were exchanged between the said parties not sure whether they was waving us good bye or choking on the smoke as we parted company.
With the riders refreshed the second part of the ride would take us to base camp back down the hill and onto the resting place of the Mundaring Motel for the night .
The lottery draw for the room keys commenced, with the guys now settled in the the meals on wheels back up van arrived with oodles of pizzas to feed the troops washed down with the odd amber nector .
The afternoon allowed time for the guys to mingle and have a catch and discuss whatever .
With only one rider having to return on the trailer due to fuel problems, the mobile workshop was soon set up, and the routine activities and interactions commenced with the usual one working eight watching which is the norm along with piss taking becoming more frequent .With everything taken in good spirit eventually problem solved everyone's a winner .
As the afternoon drew on the laughter grew louder I wonder why ? the guys spruced themselves up ready for everyone to head over to the  Mundaring Hotel for the evening's soiree .The evening went down a treat with everyone exchanging  pleasantries this continued late into the night .The landlords courtesy bus worked overtime to get everyone back to the digs in due course with some of the rowdy revellers going on into the sabbath .

Sunday morning arrived and the riders grouped together to ride over to OXOS where the BBQ was billowing out the cooked breakfast he had lined up for the guys ,together with the volunteers the food and hospitality was first class and fully appreciated by everyone which put us in good stead for the ride home With solid handshakes all round the troops parted with everyone rider making it home safe . This annual gathering was a memorable occasion, filled with fun, learning, and a powerful sense of community.
The Scooter Event in Mundaring is a celebration of all things related to scooters, bringing together riders from across the region to showcase their passion for these two-wheeled wonders. Whether you are an avid rider, a casual enthusiast, or a curious onlooker, these events offers something for everyone. Scooter culture is more than just a hobby; it’s a way of life that embraces freedom, individuality, and a sense of adventure. These overnighters embody these values, providing a platform for enthusiasts to connect, share their stories, and celebrate their shared passion.

Finally big thanks to our WA State reps Steve Leech & Dean Hilditch for organising these events a great energetic effort along with the LCOA for their avid support. Whether you are a seasoned rider or a newcomer to the world of scooters, you’re sure to find something to enjoy.
Until next year, ride safely. Join us to be part of this journey.
