Only Lambretta riders can vote, and in any category. All trophies are for Lambrettas, or derivatives, only. In the event of a tie, the judges decision is final. If a judge is competing in a category, they are exempt from being involved in the decision. You can enter more than one category. Voting for yourself disqualifies you from that category. Definition of Italian, Spanish or Indian is based on the frame number solely, not the engine. For furthest ridden, if two riders come from close to each other, then whereis.com.au will be the decider if the owners cannot agree. 	In 1947, borne from a vision to use his steel factory to offer post war Italy an affordable and mass produced form of transport; a businessman named Ferdinando Innocenti unveiled the first Lambretta motor scooter to the waiting world.
This was the beginning of the history of one of the worlds most famous and enduring marques, throughout the '50's and the 'swinging' '60's, the Lambretta name became synonymous with style. Film stars and the working class alike were captivated by the lines of the humble scooter. Millions were made, not only in Italy, but around the globe in Spain, Chile, Uruguay, India, Germany, and France. Australia itself was an early export market and consessionaires were established in all the capital cities. Though production ceased in in Milan in 1971, it continued in Spain until 1988, and India until 1999 and the Lambretta name continues to attract admirers accross the world. This year 2007, sees its 60th birthday and thousands of enthusiasts around the globe are marking this very special milestone. In October, in Sydney, we are coming together, not just from Australia, to the first international Lambretta event since 1966 to be held on Australian shores, we invite you to join us and help us celebrate the 60th anniversary of the “world’s finest scooter”.
